Last August 1, 2016, Eagle Point Beach and Dive Resort’s General Manager, Mr. Mark Lord held a General Assembly of all employees of the resort held at the Balayan Ballroom. Martinez our Director of Sales and Marketing, Front Office Manager Ms. Tessa Zalvo and staff, Operations Manager Ms. Shiela Perez, Kitchen and Dining Personnel, Banquet Personnel, Dive Shop Personnel, Housekeeping Personnel, Maintenance and Drivers.
The reason for this General Assembly is to let everybody know the managements plan of closing the resort for renovation. The first phase of the refurbishment on the Terrace Hotel has taken place last July 1, 2016. The second and final phase of the said renovation will be started on August 29, 2016. On this period Eagle Point Resort will be totally closed, the Eagle’s Nest Restaurant will be restructured and extended to accommodate more sitting capacity, all One-bedroom cottages accommodation will be refurbished, additional sea view restaurant by the south end and additional activity venue will be added. The whole resort will be expected to be in full operation on the first week of November 2016.
In this regard, the management asked the employees to avail their remaining leaves and take it as opportunity to spend more time with their family or take part and get paid in the on-going renovation job.
It was also emphasized by no less than the DOSM of this Batangas beach resort, Ernie V. Martinez “We are not closing because we are losing money but we are closing to give way with the renovation and upgrading of our facilities in preparation to cater more clients and corporate events. We are giving you a chance to take a break and relax because we will surely be more busy once operation is fully resume again by November 2016”, Mr. Martinez explained these matter in a nice and challenging way.
