Regardless of the industry, for businesses to thrive and compete successfully in today’s ever-changing corporate arena, it is imperative to invest in employee training and development. We all know that summer time is the busiest season especially for the beach resorts in Batangas and before we choked with too much work during the upcoming summer vacation everybody was called to awaken their service spirit.
Last March 3, 2017 at Balayan Ballroom in Eagle Point Resort, all employees from their respective departments were called and required to be present for a quick recoup, headed by Mr. Ernie Martinez.
Main subject of this assembly is to establish standardization. Everyone must comply and contribute in winning a client especially during ocular. Set goals were given to each department in order to win a guest.
Drivers must drive safely.
Security must greet and explain the Eagle Point Resort house rules.
Front Desk Staff must be ready and knowledgeable enough to facilitate the ocular.
Housekeeping personnel must prepare the resort model unit/rooms on its best possible set up.
Maintenance people must take seriously the cleanliness of outside surrounding.
Kitchen staff must prepare delicious meal for food tasting.
Food and Beverage staff must provide good quality service in dining.
On the next day:
Front office staff who will also facilitating the team building activities for corporate events had a separate training at Sepoc Beach Center.
Mr. Ernie Martinez also lead this training, he explains the core value and importance of well organized facilitation of team building activities.
They also do some role playing.
And lastly, to established teamwork and camaraderie among them, they were asked to make raft and make sure that it will not sink in the water.
Everybody did a great job!
I guess they’re all very ready for the summer.
Not only do training programs help employees avoid making mistakes that result from their lack of information and knowledge but they also help the company increase employee retention, gain their loyalty, and ultimately boost organizational productivity. Kudos to Eagle Point Beach and Dive Resort’s employees!!
