The hot weather is clearly an indication that it’s time to say hello to summer season. At a time like this, going to Batangas beaches is the first thing that comes in our minds. From sinking our toes on the sand and diving in the ocean to basking under the sun for that golden tan, it’s definitely going to be a terrific tropical time.
Unfortunately, out of our eagerness and excitement to get a taste of the sun, sand, and sea, we tend to forget that we need to prepare our skin for the rising temperature that comes with summer.
To make sure you get your skin refreshed and ready to beat the heat the right way, here are some tips you could follow:
- Right Exfoliation
Healthy skin calls for regular exfoliation, regardless of the weather. By including this in your beauty regimen, you are on the right track to achieve that smooth, healthy, glowing, and youthful skin. Be careful though, the objective of exfoliation is to scrub off the old, outer layer of the skin cells that are usually exposed to pollution and heat; after all, you do not want to actually end up with reddish skin from too tough, too much exfoliating.
- Right Hair Removal
Summer season is bikini season so it’s only natural if you find yourself wanting to wax, shave, or pluck unwanted hairs. However, it is important to note that after the process of hair removal, your skin is exposed to new elements; that’s something you have to prepare it for. Before leaving the house or hitting the beach, apply an oil-free sunscreen and wait about 5 minutes for it to dry. You can also invest in a good waxing product, one that contains both glycolic and salicylic acids, to prevent dead skin cells-caused bumps.
- Right Diet
Effective skincare doesn’t just mean exerting effort on the outside, but also protecting it from the inside. Time and again, dermatologists have provided a list of food items that would work wonders on our skin. One very good example of this is our good ol’ tomato. This fruit (yes, it’s a fruit) is rich in lycopene which is a natural antioxidant that can help your skin fight off the harmful effects of the sun’s UV rays such as redness, swelling, and sunburn-caused blisters.
- Right Acne Treatment
To put it in exaggeration, nothing could be worse than feeling the heat of the sun on your acne. Whether it’s on your face or on your back, the pain is the same. The solution to this problem is to exfoliate with the right products. Check the label- if the product contains salicylic acid and micronized benzoyl peroxide, then you can bid sweet farewell to your dead skin cells while helping your skin kill of acne-causing bacteria.
That’s all for now! Watch out though, because we still have a long way to go because we have not touched on the subject of cellulite, foot and hand care, and most important of all, your face. So keep returning to our blogs here at Eagle Point Beach and Diving Resort in Batangas so you can be summer-ready this 2018!
