Things You Can Do At The Beach On A Rainy Season

When travelling to the Philippines to visit some of the best diving spots in the island, it is easy to think that you will be blessed with good weather. With only 2 definite seasons (wet and dry), this is not always the case. But don’t fret! Just because the skies are grey and the surrounding is a bit wet, doesn’t mean your trip needs to be as well. Here at Eagle Point Resort in Batangas, there are plenty of activities you can do even if it’s raining. Our dive resort in Batangas is fully equipped with amenities for any season – no need to go out of the resort and seek for more!

Here’s to share a list of things that you can do during rainy seasons if you’re visiting any dive resort in the Philippines.

1.Relax and appreciate the rain.

Often when we are out for a dive trip, our itineraries involve long drives to resorts, to tours, to flight, and the list goes on. Take a moment to enjoy the resort, appreciate the rain, and its laid-back lifestyle. Read a book. Listen to music. Go out in your veranda and hear the waves. Nothing is more satisfying than walking freely along muddy paths and wet grass. Don’t forget to take time to smell the flowers and enjoy the atmosphere!

2. Dive under the rain.

After all you will be under the water and all the ‘activity’ is up top! The only impact the rain will have on diving is the seasickness it will bring getting to a dive site – trust us, it isn’t worth it.

3. Enjoy indoor activities – play games!

Depending on the amenities of your dive resort, you can surely enjoy the rain when you play indoor games with your friends or family. At Eagle Point Resort, we have a Game Room equipped with billiards, football, table tennis, and even darts tournament to get the gang together. The room will soon be filled with so much laughter.

4. Pamper yourself in a spa service… all day

This might be one of the only things on to-do list that doesn’t need a rain check, so why not make it an all-day affair? Request for room service: book a massage in your own cabana. You’ll reach new levels of Zen during a hot stone massage while listening to the pitter patter of rain all around you. “It should rain more often,” you’ll say to yourself with a dazed smile.

As you can see, when your dive trip doesn’t work out to plan, it doesn’t mean that you should leave in a hurry. The best way is to make the most out of it: throw away your worries (and clothes), embrace the surroundings, swim under the rain, and let go of caring if you’re wet or not.
